Calendula

A calendula is a marigold plant that is used to make medicine.


It has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and can be used to treat wounds, diaper rash, vaginal yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, eczema, dermatitis and other skin conditions. 

The herb can be used topically and internally. 


Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take calendula. If you are allergic to any plants in the Asteraceae/Compositae family, marigold, daisies, ragweed, etc. do not use this herb. If you are taking any prescribed meditation be sure to speak with your doctor before taking this herb.
